About this journey
Overview
The Himalayan road trip most riders build up to, run with real support. You ride Royal Enfield Himalayans from Manali across the Great Himalayan range — Baralacha La, Nakee La, Lachulung La and Tanglang La — camping at Jispa and Sarchu before dropping into the Indus valley. From Leh the route adds Khardung La to Nubra and the Shyok road to Pangong. A mechanic and a backup vehicle carry luggage, spares and oxygen, and a lead rider sets the pace. Riders need a valid licence and prior highway experience; pillions are welcome.

Arrive Manali, collect your Royal Enfield and run a short shakedown ride to Solang. Evening briefing on convoy discipline, altitude, fuel stops and the Rohtang and Atal Tunnel timings for the next morning.
